It's almost Thanksgiving - today I'll be baking pies and making cranberry sauce, and generally filling my day with food instead of blogging. But! Lydia Sharp, over at The Sharp Angle, has been kind enough to invite me for a guest blog post on pronoun use and narrative distance, a.k.a. the intersection between point of view and "show don't tell."
So thanks so much to Lydia, and here's the link. As always, I hope you find my musings useful.
It's a great post, Juliette!
ReplyDeleteOh, no, it's a great blog, too. Sigh. I'm following way tooooo many blogs. ;-)
You're very welcome, Juliette! And thank YOU for writing such a wonderful post during this very busy time of year. Much appreciated. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the term "narrative distance." Finally I have a handy term to describe how close to the MC's thoughts we are. Thank you for a great post in such a busy time.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Lovely post, btw.
