Where I talk to you about linguistics and anthropology, science fiction and fantasy, point of view, grammar geekiness, and all of the fascinating permutations thereof...
Juliette, haven't had time to check the link, but it does look interesting. My reason for commenting is a little different though :).I linked to a short story of yours as an Online Read in my interesting links post last week (?), and my mother, who almost never puts a comment online, sent me the following in email:I just finished "Let the Word Take Me". Wow, is that a powerful story. Thanks for recommending it. Then: Yes, of course pass my comments on to Juliette. You might add that I think she stopped the story at the perfect point.
Wow, Margaret. Thank you so much for passing that on - you made my day!
Yr welcome :). I thought it might. I wouldn't have posted it on my interesting links if I didn't think the story worth sharing, but specific comments are a delight.
I considered majoring in linguistics way back one. I didn't, but I took a number of linquistics courses in grad school. Some really cool stuff in that. I'll check out the link. Thanks!
Carolina, thanks for the comment! I didn't end up majoring in Linguistics for my undergraduate, but went back and did it in grad school. It was cool and very technical!
This is an amazing blog. Thanks for visiting!
Clarissa Draper, it was my pleasure. I really enjoyed your post, and thought my readers would, too.
