Interesting! I'll bet some of those wishes are mostly for 'other' calendar new year days, even if the Gregorian calendar rules business and politics.
About 30 years ago, I was selling glass domes with real butterflies on display, for about $5 up to $100 apiece. Just as a lark, I found out how to say "butterfly" in about 60 languages. Turns out, even this simple gesture made a big difference in my sales.
