Insightful discussion of the recent kerfuffles over fantasy

Wow, I hadn't heard about any of this yet. Can't believe the NYT article. The sad part is that lots of people will read that review and base their feelings about Fantasy on what they read.
ReplyDeleteIt is a shame, Scott. The NYT article managed to insult women and fantasy at the same time. This kind of discourse creates a monolithic picture of fantasy as distinct from the normal and possessing of particular features, when fantasy permeates mainstream work as well. Thanks for commenting.
