Thanks for the comments, E. Arroyo and Uva. The article mentions the fact that there are hardly ever bathrooms in any of the worlds that people create. Which is true. Mind you, there's the question of whether that is relevant!
Great list! Hehe. And I actually have mentioned a bathroom in one story. Just seemed to make sense at that point when the characters had just arrived at camp after a long journey. First I tend to do when I get somewhere is scout out the restroom even if I don't need it right away.
I have bathrooms in my novel - in fact, I introduce one of my characters by having him head off to shower within the first page or so. But I don't find toilets particularly relevant most times.
