Human - vehicular relations?

Here's a hilarious link to a story from BBC news about research (conducted at Stanford University) into how to get your car to talk to you, help you drive better and become your friend. The fun part is how systematic the research is, and how much they've learned about the linguistic details that influence your emotions.

  1. How amazing! I didn't know they were so close to voice-modulating computers. Isn't this a type of AI? Definitely a link for science fiction or near-future fiction writers.

    Yeah, it is cool, but it's not really AI in the science fictional sense. Still, enjoyable for those sf writers who would like to extrapolate!
